Perfect for learners from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, as well as art teachers seeking to curate digital portfolios of student or personal work, this dynamic tool can help aid the way your art is showcased. Unveil your creations with ease by simply uploading images of traditional paper-based artwork and transform them into the visual narrative of a classic sketchbook. Crafted as a PowerPoint download, each slide is flattened to preserve the essence of its design, ensuring an authentic experience for every user and no accidental page formatting. Embrace tradition with a touch of modernity as the sketchbook boasts a timeless, textured black front and back cover reminiscent of traditional sketchbooks. Inside, users can explore three distinct paper styles: Craft, textured white, and black sugar paper, crafted to replicate the tactile feel of their physical counterparts. Implementation Ideas: Use to curate loose copies of student art work Use for GCSE or ‘A Level’ artwork as a digital footprint of paper based activities Use in lessons as an aid to teaching - realistic sketchbook slides to be used with images to recreate artist research pages or to showcase exemplars. KS3 Whole Class Feedback Form

KS3 Whole Class Feedback Form

(0)
This download is a whole class feedback form, for giving feedback to KS3 students. It is aimed at art teachers but could easily be adapted for other lessons as the feedback areas are quite generic. As an art teacher you often find that students across a class or year group have the same misconceptions or struggle with the same techniques. Rather than giving feedback individually, turn this into a feedback lesson; discuss what students have done well, areas of improvement, common misconceptions and next steps. I also use to like highlighting a few students who had worked well on the form as a further discussion point as to what they did well! Add your own slides of completed work to accompany this. There is also a box for ‘key words’ which can be used as extra revision within the lesson. The Power Point is editable, and once the feedback has been added it could be printed as an A4 or A5 handout to be kept in student sketchbooks. Students can then highlight areas of development that they recognise as being important to them. Your download consists of: A one slide editable Power Point A printable PDF Save yourself hours of time, by switching to whole class feedback. Accompany this feedback slide / handout with my evaluation sentence starter prompt.

OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical Art & Design Unit 20 Exploring Digital Photography template. (2012)

OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical Art & Design Unit 20 Exploring Digital Photography template. (2012 Series) This powerpoint is an annotated workbook that teachers can use to develop their unit 20 course content or for students to use as a workbook to create their unit 20 coursework. The powerpoint consists of 51 slides taking students through all the key components of what is needed to meet the assessment criteria of this unit. All of the images within the powerpoint are stock images that try to represent the style of image that is required by the student where ever possible. Each section prompts the student to analyse and use their own images to meet course objectives. Use alongside the OCR assessment and grading criteria so that students have a clear idea of how to work towards pass, merit or distinction. This powerpoint is fully editable and I would encourage editing of text and stock images to ensure indivduality of slide layout and theme. Using the ‘designer’ feature within powerpoint will ensure consistancy of theme.
KS4-KS5 Art Image Research Frame

KS4-KS5 Art Image Research Frame

(0)
This resource is aimed at KS4-KS5 art students to help them research artwork. Add the stimulus to be researched into the middle of the worksheet to allow students to think about the Who? What? Why? When? Where? about a specific artist or image. This was an art teacher must during my training year and became a really useful tool to help students to expand their analysis and research skills. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Your download consists of a blank annotation sheet as well as a prompt sheet which asks specific questions about the who? what? why? where? etc. The frame is best printed at A3 size to allow students to annotate. Add an image to the centre of the frame and then use the prompts around it to analyse the artwork. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You might also find my GCSE / A Level / Foundation Level Art & Design Exam Task Planner useful ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you find my resources useful, then please leave me some feedback.

Art Evaluation Sentence Starter Prompt Sheet

This resource is intended to help KS3 students to describe their artwork using full sentences and to support students to evaluate their own or peer work using ‘What Went Well’ and ‘Even Better If’ prompts. It comes as a printable A4 PDF that can be laminated and kept on student tables/desks or stuck in sketchbooks as a handy reference aid. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I originally designed this resource during my teacher training year as I noticed students not only struggled to write in full sentences when evaluating their own or peer work, but they also struggled to identify areas of improvement. This document worked really well laminated and available on tables when needed. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you like this resource you might also like my handy sketchbook insert for recording student targets and key words. It also has a useful colour wheel and a reference to the elements of art. Sketch Book Insert ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you find my resources useful, then please leave me some feedback.
Art Sketchbook Insert

Art Sketchbook Insert

(0)
This resource is a handy art sketchbook insert to be stuck into the front cover and first page of a new sketchbook. It is designed to help students keep their sketch books tidy and organised. My favourite student sketch book was discontinued and I loved the inside cover page! It allowed students to log assessment dates and targets as well as a handy section for remembering keywords and their definitions. So I decided to design my own, keeping the bits that I found useful as an art teacher. This handy reference reminds students of sketchbook expectations as well as the 7 elements of art and the colour wheel. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Print it on to an A3 sheet and then fold it to fit an A4 sketchbook or print smaller on to A4. Saved as a PDF, it includes crop marks if you want to reduce the size for sticking in. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you like this resource, then you might also like my KS3 sentence starter prompt sheet, to help students write in full sentences in their sketch books. Print out, laminate and leave on art room tables.
